Pioneer Industrial Corporation was founded in 1988 by William Pfitzinger as an Industrial Distributor dealing in packing, gasketing, mechanical seals, mixers, pumps, valves and specialty products. Pioneer purchased the Equipment and Services Business Unit of Zoltek Corporation in 1995.This added fabrication services to the existing packing/gasketing operations as well as the Dresser Green Tag Assembly and Repair center for Consolidated pressure relief valves. In 1996, Pioneer acquired the flexible graphite operations of Zoltek Corporation making Pioneer one of the largest manufacturers/distributors of this product in the United States. In 1999 Pioneer acquired several Chesterton distributors "factory" stores within our geographic sales area , increasing our Service and Sales to our customers.
