Our solutions are appropriate for a wide range of renewable energy industries. Below is just a sample of how Pioneer Industrial supplies them:
Solar – A large number of solar facilities are photovoltaic, meaning they convert sunlight directly into electricity. Another method of using solar energy is solar thermal systems, which concentrate sunlight using mirrors to generate steam for turbines or to a boiler tower. These processes require precise flow control to protect equipment and control outputs.
Wind Turbines – Wind turbines are becoming more and more prevalent across the landscape and as they grow in frequency, they are also growing in size. These huge machines can be controlled by hydraulic or electric systems that have to be robust enough to prevent damage from overspeeds. Hydraulic systems in particular require an extensive flow control system of safety valves and actuators.
Geothermal – When volcanic heat is used to create steam, Pioneer is there with the right products that make sure these processes are safe and efficient. But steam that is produced by geological processes is corrosive to machinery, which means the valves and actuators used to harness this power need to be resistant to acids and erosion.
